- Inner-space awareness
- Time
- 15 minutes
Watching the inner space behind the closed eyes, without looking for anything in it.
Take care
Keep the eyes relaxed. There is nothing to see and nothing to achieve.
The stages
- 1
Sit steadily with the eyes closed. Let the body settle and the breath slow.
- 2
Become aware of the dark space in front of the closed eyes, as if looking at a screen.
- 3
Watch whatever appears there: colours, shapes, patterns, or nothing at all. Do not chase it or push it away.
- 4
When the mind wanders into thought, notice it and return to watching the space.
- 5
Before ending, become aware of the body and the breath, then open the eyes slowly.
