How it is done

  1. 1

    Breathe out

From Halasana, bend the knees and lower them beside the ears.

  2. 2

    Breathe freely

Hold the backs of the knees or interlace behind the back. Stay for eight breaths.

Holding it

Around eight breaths.

Making it easier

Stay in Halasana with the feet supported.

What the tradition says it does

  • Deeply flexes the spine
  • Draws the senses inward

As our source describes it. This is not a medical claim.
