Take care

Keep the front knee tracking over the middle of the foot, not falling inward.

How it is done

  1. 1

    Breathe out

From Warrior A, open the hips and chest to the side and lower the arms to shoulder height.

  2. 2

    Breathe freely

Keep the front knee bent over the ankle and look past the front fingertips. Stay for five breaths.

  3. 3

    Breathe in

Straighten the leg and repeat on the left.

Holding it

Five breaths on each side.

Making it easier

Bend the front knee less, and rest the hands on the hips.

What the tradition says it does

  • Strengthens the legs
  • Opens the hips and chest

As our source describes it. This is not a medical claim.
